The Rev. Patrick S. Cheng, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Historical and Systematic Theology at the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, MA. He holds a Ph.D., M.Phil., and M.A. in systematic theology from Union Theological Seminary in New York City, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and a B.A. from Yale College. Patrick is an ordained minister with the Metropolitan Community Churches and a contributor to the religion section of the Huffington Post. Goh, born and bred in Malaysia, spent two years at the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University in Berkeley, CA, where he earned a Licentiate in Sacred Theology (STL) as well as a Master of Theology (ThM) in Systematic Theology. Goh is interested in queer theology, masculinities studies, LGBTQ studies, contemporary philosophy, Malaysian studies and gender and sexuality issues. He is now pursuing a PhD in Gender, Sexuality and Theology at the School of Arts and Social Sciences, Monash University, Malaysia. As a priest/ordained minister with the North American Ecumenical Catholic Church (NACEC), Goh is involved in diverse, unconventional forms of ministry through academia, publications, public speaking, personal encounters and preaching opportunities, particularly for sexual minorities. He is also a volunteer with PT Foundation, a community-based non-profit that seeks to foster HIV/AIDS awareness and empowerment among Malaysians. Goh owns a personal website at www.josephgoh.org.
